The Media and Technology department hosted the 4th annual Captivate Media Festival on Monday June 15, 2009.
This year, 31 winning students and their families attended a ceremony and received awards presented by the Chairperson and Director of the Board. They later attended a reception, during which a gallery of festival winners was displayed.
Captivate is a program that showcases student-produced media from students in the Durham District School Board, celebrating effective use of technology to support student success in all areas of the curriculum.
This year, over 100 submissions were received from students from JK to Grade 12 in categories of digital storytelling, presentations, photo manipulation, and animation. Thanks to students and teachers across the DDSB for their interest and support of the Captivate Media Festival, and congratualtions to all of the 2009 winners.
